The Contemporary Music Association Turkish Art Music Choir was established on 13.06.2013, with the leadership of the association president and choir master Ersin Tünay, with music volunteers consisting of 18 people. Today, the Contemporary Music Association has the largest Turkish Classical Music choir in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with its 85 members. Our association, which is the proof of the beauties kept alive, continues on its way as a strong association that works with devotion and is acknowledged by the Cypriot people as a result of the concerts and social responsibility projects it has realized in a short time despite its young age. Contemporary music association, which has carried out numerous concerts and social responsibility projects since its establishment, has given a total of 44 concerts, 36 in Cyprus and 8 abroad (Kosovo, Baku, England, Georgia, Samsun, Antalya, Çorlu, Ankara(2), Trabzon). As the Contemporary Music Association Turkish Classical Music Choir, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has been proudly represented in all the concerts held in Cyprus and abroad. After the protocol signed with our sister choir Çorlu Music Association, the 1st International Turkish Music Festival Service Award was given to Ersin Tünay, the president and choir master of the Contemporary Music Association, for the first time by the president of the Çorlu Music Association. Again, the application we made to the Turkish Music Federation (TUMFED) 2 years ago was concluded on 6 March 2019, and our TUMFED membership was officially confirmed. The projects carried out by the Contemporary Music Association, which is the largest Turkish Art Music Choir operating in the TRNC, are always a first. In this context, again as a first, on 13 June 2018, the 1st International Turkish Music Festival was organized for the 5th anniversary of the association and Turkish Art Music Choirs operating abroad were invited and took part in our festival. Contemporary Music Association Turkish Art Music Choir has proven itself with the concerts it has performed in Turkey and abroad, and continues to move forward in the field of culture and art with the philosophy of "music is the source of love and love is the source of life".
